How do I pitch articles to Thaen X?

You can pitch articles to Thaen X by sending a brief pitch to our team here. In your email, please include your full name, pronouns, article type (e.g., personal essay, opinion, etc.), headline suggestion, 200-300 word pitch, and (optional) previous experience (e.g., written work, work and/or personal interests).

How do I become a contributor?

By emailing us! Usually, we will do a callout online for writers based on ideas and topics (usually via our social media, so make sure to follow!) but we are always looking for opinion pieces and personal reflections.

Do you pay your contributors?

Yes! We value your labour and talent. Although we cannot offer as much as mainstream publications at the moment, we do pay all of our writers/contributors. Rates vary depending on the length and type of piece you are writing.

When can you expect a response from us about pitches?

Our team will get back to you about accepted pitches in about a week’s time and sooner if the pitch is timely. However, if you do not hear back after a week, please feel free to pitch to another outlet.

Does Thaen X republish content?

Thaen X does not republish content. We are a new platform, but we strive to publish original content to build our brand and fulfil our mission statement.

Will my piece definitely get published?

Unfortunately we cannot publish every pitch.

Does Thaen X have a print edition?

Not at the present time.

What is the “Quick Exit” button?

The quick exit button is meant to allow for users to quickly navigate off of Thaen Pot and Thaen X for various reasons, including for when content on Thaen X may be particularly triggering.

How is Thaen X funded?

We are completely bootstrapped. You can, however, donate to the platform directly.

Note: 100% of donation proceeds go towards sustaining and running Thaen X.
